The mayor of Estepona presents Francisco Galán Palma with the award on Construction Day
The honourees at the Construction Day event in Estepona (2)

We are deeply grateful to Estepona Town Hall and its mayor, José María García Urbano, for recognising our professional career at the institutional event for Construction Day. Thank you, from the heart.

Congratulations to our whole team, and especially to our dear «patrón», Francisco Galán Palma, and his family: for being there, always, through thick and thin, and for the dedication, care and commitment that have made La Palma a special place in many people's lives.

How it all began

Francisco was 18 when he founded La Palma in 1964. At first it was a modest bodega with a discreet door in the heart of Estepona. He named it La Palma out of love for his mother, María Palma Márquez.

Over the years that bodega grew into a restaurant in Estepona for eating and for meeting people. Francisco's vision and his tireless dedication have made La Palma one of the most emblematic restaurants in town.

Francisco

Francisco is known as a generous person with a big heart, committed to social causes. He has stepped in whenever he was needed, as during the COVID months, always ready to lend a hand to those who need it most.
